Vibe Coding NoteWave — a live question board built in a day
NoteWave turns stickies into a clustered question board in real time. Shipped in a day. Architecture + glossary for non-tech readers.
🧪 A GemLabs lab. This is a GemLabs build journal — a weekend experiment in building real workflows with AI coding agents like Claude Code and Codex, written up as a hands-on tutorial. If you’re a merchant or Shopify seller, the takeaway isn’t this one tool: it’s that you can describe a daily selling chore in plain language and have an agent build it for you. Steal the pattern.
Friday evening, May 22, 2026. The first 4S Saigon Ecom Coffee Chat is tomorrow afternoon. I’m looking at the part of the format that always breaks down: question collection.
Sticky notes get written. Then one of three things happens. Someone collects the pile and reads them aloud — the room goes flat. Or stickies hit a wall and twenty people squint at handwriting they can’t decode. Or someone “takes a photo for later” and nobody opens it. Half the questions are gone before the first one gets discussed.
I open Claude Code and start describing the tool I want. By Saturday morning it’s running on a public URL. I call it NoteWave.
This post is what happened — what it does in the room, the architecture I sketched on paper before any code, and a glossary if some of the terms are new to you.
