What this is

Session 2 picks up where session 1 left off, but flips the format: instead of Chris demoing three tools to a roomful of people, this time each attendee builds one mini-app for their own shop, with Chris coaching 1-1.

Why drop from 20 to 10? Because for every person to actually leave with something running on their machine, I have to circle the room and coach each one. 20 doesn’t fit. 10 does.

Who this is for

Shopify sellers, agency operators, or anyone new to ecommerce — no code required. You’ll need:

  • A shop that’s running (or being set up), and one specific pain you want to solve.
  • A laptop (Mac or Windows) with a full charge.
  • 30 minutes before the workshop: a pre-work setup video (sent after registration).

If you’ve used Claude Code before, you’re still welcome — session 2 doesn’t repeat session 1. You’ll build deeper, not show off.

What you’ll build

When you arrive, you pick one of five archetypes — all buildable in 90 minutes with Claude Code:

#ArchetypeReal shop painOutput
AProduct description generatorWriting EN/VI descriptions for hundreds of SKUs is exhaustingForm → paste name + spec → generated description
BCompetitor price watcherTracking competitor prices across a URL listCron scrape → dashboard with price history
CReview / feedback inboxReading reviews scattered across sourcesInbox with tags + filter + search
DOrder / customer mini-CRMTracking VIP customers, purchase historyList + detail + notes
EContent calendar + caption AIScheduling FB/IG posts, writing captionsCalendar + AI caption generator

Bring one archetype + a short spec about your shop — leave with a personalized app for your shop.

15:05–15:40First build together — paste spec → Claude Code → open browser → click testLocally running app
15:40–16:10Iterate — tweak 2-3 things for yourself. Learn the want → say → see → fix wording loopIterate-flow fluency
16:10–16:30When Claude “keeps getting it wrong” — paste the error, narrate, don’t hand-fix codeDebug skill
16:30–16:50Demo round — each attendee shows their app for 30 secondsCross-learning from the room
16:50–17:00Roadmap for after + Q&A5 principles + cheat sheet of 15 prompts

5 principles you take home

  1. Describe the problem, not the solution — “I need X”, not “use React or Vue”.
  2. Claude is a junior dev, you’re the PM — don’t argue, review.
  3. You only know by running it, not by reading code — open the browser, click, narrate if wrong.
  4. When it breaks → narrate, don’t guess — paste the error, describe what you were doing.
  5. One memory file is goldCLAUDE.md = Claude’s brain for next time.

What you take home

  • One mini-app for your shop running on your laptop.
  • 5 principles on A5 paper, stick it on your monitor.
  • Cheat sheet of 15 prompts — “add field”, “change color”, “add filter”, “fix this error”, etc.
  • Starter template Next.js + SQLite in gemlabs/toolkits — clone it to build other apps.
  • 10 Saigon builders working on this stuff — the room is part of what you take home.

Pre-work (~30 minutes self-setup)

After registration, you’ll get an email with:

  • A 10-minute pre-work video: install Node, VS Code, Claude Code, log in.
  • A one-page spec template to print.
  • Link to the 10-person Slack/Zalo group for fast questions before the workshop.
